Why do highly intelligent people in TV shows always announce a discovery with “Yes . . . of COURSE!” I spend all my time with highly intelligent people, and none of them ever say that.
In other news, yeah, pretty productive summer so far, as you can see.

Because the writers of such shows tend to not be highly intelligent people once their products are filmed. Sure, it starts off great and occasionally brilliance slips through… but in the end, idiocy. Pre-chewed for our consumption, even.

Its what people who want to sound highly intelligent but are only mildly above average say. I say it whenever I figure out something, so there ya go.
